D-Day Journal
I believe that
William Golding was affected by being a part of D-day because he had to witness
all of his friends being brutally murdered by the Germans. He was also affected
because he believed that he would die while fighting and he wrote his sister a letter
saying "do not expect me to come home." He was also affected because he was
constantly debating whether he would make it out alive. As he was jumping out
of the boat for safety he saw his friends/ co-workers being shot at in the
water and drowning by their equipment. Golding was affected because he was 19
out of many and going to start college and going into War for his country.
you did a very good job
